Grants
Stabilizing our town’s finances without impacting services to families by securing $27.5 million dollars in grants over 7 years to fund improvements to our state-of-the art Community Arts Center, Senior Center, and Youth Center while also expanding recreation programs with the addition of cricket fields, ice rinks, parks, basketball courts, biking paths, and an inclusive playground.
Roads & Infrastructure
- Repairing and Repaving a Record Number of Roads, with upgrades including drainage improvements, utility relocation, new sidewalks, ADA-compliant curb ramps, and guard rail enhancements
- Installing New Traffic Lights at key intersections to increase motorist, pedestrian, and bicyclist safety
Small Business Support
Reestablishing the Chamber of Commerce and welcoming over 500 new business openings over the past 7 years
Enhancing Quality of Life
- Enhancing our quality of life: Meeting township demand through cultural programs, classes, and lectures attended at record numbers
- Record Participation: A significant increase in senior citizen engagement with the Township's Department of Aging programs.
- Expanding Green Spaces: Enhancements to our parks, including new additions like Tammany Park and Campground, renovations of Heavenly Farms Fields, upgrades to all 22 parks, the new Cricket Fields, and the Inclusive Playground at Lenape Park.
- Growing Arts Programs: Introduction of new musical arts instructional programs, including the East Brunswick Symphony Orchestra, a broader range of art courses, and strengthened collaboration with our Youth Council.
